Serious and indepth keyword research
To really save money on Pay Per Click traffic, you need to do some serious and indepth keyword research. You want to know more than demand and supply - pay per click cost, competition data, KEI, etc.
And you also want to expand your keyword lists to include keywords not found in the free keyword research tools.
Here are the two tools I used to meet my needs.
This is a very powerful tool and I believe I have not tap into 50% of its capabilities.
It is able to uncover niches, analyze your PPC competition in other PPCs , ’steal’ profitable keywords from competitors, etc. (the list is pretty long!)
The main downside is its cost. At $176, it is not for any “Average Joe” marketers. The second drawback is that - it is a desktop software, which means it works on PC only. Sorry, MAC users.
Even though it is desktop based, an internet connection is still required as the tool need to go online to retrieve keyword data.
The second tool I use is Nichebot 2. This is an online service which required an active subscription of $9.95 or $19.95. It works on a credit system. Each month you are allocated some credits and once you used up the credit, you have to buy new credits in order to use the system. This is probably its biggest drawback.
Here are a few useful features of Nichebot 2.
Access 32 billion+ keywords - including sources such as eBay
Foreign keywords from 25 countries - virtually untapped
Simple 1-Click LSI keyword research -look for other theme related keywords
WordTrendâ„¢ monthly demand charts - Easily spot trends and seasonal spikes
The interface is pretty easy to use and I really like its WordTrend feature. Most of the time, I used it to find very long tail keywords (6 words or more).
One thing I find is that the refresh rate is a bit slow and would love to see some improvements here.
